RN Licensure Preparation Program - ADVANCED
(for Internationally Educated Nurses)

If you have already passed the English competency test as required by the nursing regulatory body, you may qualify for advanced placement for the RN Licensure Preparation Program for IENs. The program length will be reduced to 12 months.

Admission Requirements
In order to enroll in OMNI's RN Licensure Preparation Program for Internationally Educated Nurses you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently registered as an RN in good standing in your country of origin
  • Have a minimum of 1125 hours of nursing experience within the last 4 years
  • Have already passed a CRNBC recognized English competency test (ie; CELBAN, IELTS, TOEFL/TSE, etc)

If you are an International Student, you must also qualify for a Student Visa. Alternatively, you can consult your country's Canadian Consulate or Embassy. Search for one in your area by visiting Citizen and Immigration Canada.

  • Nursing 1000 and Nursing 1001 (LAB) - 24 weeks
  • Nursing 1002 - SEC/CRNE Prep - 6 weeks
  • Nursing 1003 - Co-op Work Experience - 16 weeks
  • Nursing 1004 - Leadership in Nursing - 2 weeks

Program Length and Fees
8 months full time + 4 months work experience
Program Tuition: $12,000 CDN
(there is a non-refundable $250 CDN application fee due at the time of application.)

Fees may be paid by VISA, MasterCard, cash, money order, certified cheque or wire transfer. Fees are subject to change. Textbooks and materials are additional.

Financial assistance may be available through the BC Student Assistance Program.
