Featured Profile OMNI Graduate

Christian Guani is one of OMNI College’s Health Care Aide Graduates. He graduated from OMNI and earned his certificate just a few months ago, and is now working as a Care Aide for an intermediate care facility in Vancouver, BC.
When we asked Christian about his experience at OMNI College, this is what he had to say:

“Before coming to OMNI, I worked as a production worker in a factory. I didn’t like working as a production worker, and I felt that I needed a change. I knew that I needed to be doing something that meant more to me, something where I could help people. Finally, I pushed myself to make a change. I decided to further my education in order to find a job where I could serve people, especially the elderly and the disabled.

I researched and visited many schools, but I felt the most comfortable with OMNI College, the staff and the environment there. It was also my mother’s instinct that confirmed my decision to choose OMNI College - she felt it was right for me. I believe in the saying that “mother knows best” and today, I am very proud to have earned a Health Care Aide Certificate from OMNI College.

I had a truly wonderful and successful experience at OMNI. There is such great camaraderie and rapport between the students as well as the staff. I learned more from this program than I could have ever imagined, especially during the hands-on practicum training. It gave me the ‘real’ experience that I needed to get the job I wanted.

Although my Health Care Aide Certificate is obviously one of the most important things I gained from OMNI, the MOST important was the job opportunities after graduation. And if I could say one thing to students who may be considering OMNI, I would tell them to study at OMNI, gain your certificate, and then see how your life can change! OMNI actually helped me to find a job after I completed the program. I am so happy now!

I have recommend OMNI to many of my friends, and just a week after I graduated one of my friends enrolled in OMNI too. “
